Weekly mp3 #114: Marihiko Hara - Modena

Zymogen released this track (and the whole album it's from) for free.
A repeating electronic burble is accompanied by little sung vocal fragments. Also repeating. It's all a bit pretty pretty, as well as repetititious, until a distorted piano comes along and roams all over the track. The atmosphere is still gentle, but also edgy enough to maintain a bit of interest. To quote Salmonella Dub: "Frisson, we do it for the love of it!"
Probably one of those tracks that makes more sense in the context of an album's worth of listening, but I needed to pick something...
'Cesura', the album this is from, is the debut album of a young guy from Kyoto. I searched Hara-san's name after really enjoying a track of his off the equally free Summertour 2 remix.
