Jerky jerky, lurchy lurchy.  I've partly been sitting on this stuff because I've never figured out what to say about this whole EP - Lufth's the alias of a techno producer on a techno label, in theory, but this must be about 70bpm max and has plenty in common with a lot of the really swung slow-mo hip-hop grooves that have come up in the years since this release.

On the other hand, there's moody synth pads lurking in the back of the track and what melodies there are consist of weird bent notes that alternate between softly gliding and abruptly pinging around the place. The only real point of comparison I can think of is excellent Kompakt producer, Olaf Dettinger.

Lufth is one alias of German producer Joerg Schuster, probably best known as Sensual Physics but also as Digitalverein and no doubt more.
