Weekly mp3 #155: Blondes - Spanish Fly

Washy looping synths and femvox. More free RCRDLBL gear - they've changed their set up so you have to sign up to download, but give it a listen either way.
I guess it's not a surprise for me to post another track that involves more and more loops... I could probably use the word "loop" every bloody week to describe what I link to, but this is more in the strictly electronic vein compared to Panda Bear, Juana Molina, etc.
It opens with a swirl of female vocals, but singing wordlessly, and that becomes the background for some slow but steady drum machine rhythms and synth bassline that keeps threatening to snarl before softening down again. Surprisingly house-y chords and some funny synth brass adds shine. Might be the promo pics I've seen, but it sounds like it could be all done just jamming with a few boxes rather than painstakingly wrought in un-real-time.
Blondes are an American duo based in Brooklyn. So they must be despicable trust-fund kids.
