Weekly MP3 #196: Cut Copy - Where I'm Going

Cheery indie rock number with that glam rock/schaffel swing going on, this is up at Spinner among other places.
Here's a video-less Youtube clip if you'd prefer to listen before downloading:
Cut Copy's 2008 album 'In Ghost Colours' had me gushing. Verbally, I mean. *cough* I wasn't so convinced with last year's follow-up, 'Zonoscope'. Where it was the same old thing I wanted to hear something different, and where it was something different I wished they'd stop it. OK, not quite - this more rock'n'roll (part 1) venture definitely works and has held up since it appeared on the web late 2010.
I don't mean to sound so disparaging about the album this is off - I probably just couldn't be as excited as I was about 'In Ghost Colours' a second time.
The singer from Australian band Cut Copy is also the only person I've heard trying to emulate Andy McClusky of OMD. At least, I think that's what he's up to on this new album. Many, many things have been said about OMD, but not much positive about how either member sings. I wonder if he does McClusky's infamous "bass dance" too?
